What is Hypnosis?

 

Its is the by passing of the critical factor of the conscious mind.  To allow the mind to accept new manners of thinking: to establish acceptable thought processing.

 

Hypnosis teaches our subconscious mind new patterns of behavior by bypassing the critical factor and allowing into the subconscious mind a new set of beliefs and behaviors.  The subconscious is part of the mind that stores all of our life's learning experiences and is the part of that I will be reprogramming.  The subconscious mind stores unhealthy patterns of behavior, destructive patterns of behavior and at times can store things that are just not true.  Our subconscious mind accepts whatever you believe to be true. Using hypnosis allows actions to be connected with unhealthy beliefs and behaviors.

 

 

What Are The Stages of Hypnosis?

 

 

Pretalk

This is the initial, I will began to explore issues in more detail, by asking why it happened, when, how, where, who and so forth. Getting to know you helps me to work with you more effectively which results in achieving your goal.

 

The Induction and Deepening

During induction, This is the point where you are put into the trance.  I will guide you to narrowly focus your attention to the point that sensory impressions are relaxed.  The client can then reach the state of complete relaxation necessary for hypnosis to occur.


Once you are relaxed the hypnotist will then continue to speak to your subconscious mind and use specific techniques to let you relax even more into the trance.

 

The Suggestion

Your mind is working at a level that it is open to suggestion.  The suggestion stage is where the therapist will start to make suggestions for an alternative behavior that will help you to reach your goal.

 

Awakening

This is when you come back to ‘reality’. Termination is a slow, gradual return to consciousness. Just prior to ending the hypnotic state.
