Constance A Stegall is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the states of Florida and NY, presently practicing in Florida. She is:

  • President of the local chapter for Florida Associations of Marriage and Family Therapy. 
  • Family and County Mediator for the Supreme Court of Florida. 
  • Certified Parenting Instructor for an International Network for Children and Family.
  • Group Facilitator for Huntington Disease Society of America. 
  • Life and Corporate Coach
  • An approved Continuing Educational instructor in the state of Florida for Chapter 491 – Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists.

 She appeared on Wink TV in Southwest Florida after 9/11 talking about “grief and loss.”  She facilitated group meetings for members of the community, who needed the emotional support to get through this difficult time. She also presented to other professionals in the field an educational seminar “Coping with Terrorism”, which provided insight and methods to help members of the community and professionals alike who were having difficulty dealing with the crisis.   During this same period, she volunteered with the American Red Cross to offer her counseling services. 

 

In March of 2003 when troops were sent to Iraq, she became a group leader/facilitator for another group: “A Support Network for Military Families” .

 

Lee County Counselors’ Association awarded Constance with a Certificate of Appreciation for her outstanding counseling service both in the community and their schools.

 

Her Pre-Marital Workshop was recorded for the Nationally Televised Rachel Ray show in 2007.

 

In 2008 she was chairperson for two successful fundraisers for Huntington’s Disease and plans to continue to be chairperson annually to help raise funds to promote awareness for the illness and for research to help find a cure for this devastating disease.

 

Constance worked at a major Medical Center in Miami offering emotional support to individuals and families on death and dying and long-term illness and simultaneously worked with inner city children on behavior issues, learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and also worked with foster care children and their families on several different issues.  She moved to Cape Coral, FL in 2001 and worked with Hope Hospice as  a Bereavement Counselor.  In 2003 she went into private practice and opened The Center for Life Transitions, PA. practice.
