Medical Errors

Medical Errors course  provides information on root-cause analysis, error reduction and prevention and patient safety in behavioral healthcare practice.  The course will help you identify factors that contribute to the occurrence of behavioral healthcare practice errors, how to recognize at-risk situations, protocol to improve patient outcome, reporting responsibilities, and patient safety.  Patient rights and other public education concerns will be addressed.

Ethics and Boundaries course helps psychotherapists improve their awareness, knowledge and understanding of professional ethics.  It also provides an understanding and knowledge of boundary conflicts of interest related closely to other types of unprofessional behavior such as boundary violations, which more specifically identifies harmful dual relationships, sexual misconduct, social relationships, religious conflicts, and business relationships.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

2:30pm—4:30pm

 

Domestic Violence course will include identifying victims and perpetrators, screening procedures including history taking, referral, and intervention information, and examining issues of power and control.  Also, added to this course how to identify child abuse and neglect and steps on the procedures of reporting child abuse and neglect.

Confirmation and Cancellation Policy:  Confirmations are sent via e-mail or fax within three days of receipt in our office.  If an e-mail or fax confirmation is not convenient, please call 239-549-8342 and appropriate information will be obtained and confirmation will be sent within 72 hrs.  If you do not receive a confirmation within 5 days of schedule program, please contact office 239-549-8342 to verify registration.

 

Cancellation within 5 days prior to seminar are refundable less $25.00 for administrative fees.  Refunds are processed with same method of payment, eg:  credit cards will be refunded on your credit card, etc. If your cancellation is less than 5 days credit will be given towards another seminar.   If you register and do not show you are responsible for the full fee of the seminar.  Any NSF will be re-presented electronically and a processing fee will be charged as allowed by law.

Can I take 1 or 2 of the courses?  Yes, different fees apply please call to speak with my assistant.

If  I do not attend the entire seminar  will I receive my certificate when I leave for the courses I did take?  Yes, it will be ready for you to take.
